The Portuguese national team and Manchester United's star, Cristiano Ronado is reminding me on what happened with Gabriel Heinze in the summer of last year.
Heinze, who was one of the most respected defenders at United, for his own reason(s) wanted to be sold away to Liverpool but Man utd were unwilling to sell. Then after continuous calls/requests from Heinze and his agent United reluctantly agreed to sell but not to rival Liverpool. So United cashed in from Real Madrid instead and off he went!
What Ronaldo is trying to do here is just to follow Gabbi's footstep so that he can be allowed to leave. But I think circumstances are different between the two. Ronaldo has 4 years on his contract and his age is only 23 while Gabbi had 2 years left with the age of 26 or 27!
Because Ronaldo and Heinze are close friends, I am tempted to think that the latter has got some influence on the former's current open move!
