Love, Perfomance and Life!

Last season in different occassions I heard from Alan Shearer and Tony Adams that there were players who need to be loved in order to get out the best from them.

Shearer, the former Southampton, Blackburn and Newcastle star, was talking in the famous BBC One/Two matchday highlights program -Match of the Day; where he is the regular pundit.

In the show Shearer mentioned that Jermain Jenas was not performing well at Newcastle because he was not loved. At the moment Jenas is doing well at Tottenham Hotspars because he is loved (he needs to be loved).

Also Jenas' teammate, Dimitar Berbatov, was another player whose performance needs to be boosted by love. When Berbatov is loved, he plays very well according to Shearer.

Tony Adams, assistant manager at Portsmouth FC, (once on tv -skysports(?)) said that Glen Johnson who plays at Portsmouth is doing well at the moment because he needed to loved -something which he lacked at Chesea!

These comments might be true or might not, but in my own view I think it is true that 'love' is an important component in everyday life (not only in sports as Shearer and Adams have pointed out).

Human beings naturally do react positively to love being shown to them by others.

That is why I said this yesterday; give love as much as you would like to be loved!
