De Laet joins Man United from Stoke City

Belgian joins Reds
United have confirmed the signing of defender Ritchie De Laet from Stoke City.
The 20 year-old Belgian joined Stoke from Royal Antwerp in August 2007 but he did not feature for the Potters' first team, only being named as a substitute on a few occasions. In October 2008, he joined non-league Wrexham on loan. He made three appearances in the Blue Square Premier, only for his stint to be cut short by surgery on a double hernia.
Now fit again, De Laet will hope to make an impression at United, initially in the reserves.
The Manchester Senior Cup tie at Stockport County on Monday 19 January could offer De Laet his first chance of match action for the Reds.
