Mbagala, Temeke: CRDB Bank opens branch

Mbagala, Temeke residents smile as CRDB Bank opens branch
CRDB Bank has finally responded to a long standing request by residents of Temeke District to have the Bank`s services closer to them.

The Bank has put up a new branch at Mbagala where activities leading to its opening are currently in full swing.

The new branch, located at Mbagala Zakhem`s Big Bon filling station, is fitted with two ATMs and will offer a whole range of banking services including issuing loans.

This has come as a relief to thousands of CRDB Bank customers and non-customers living within Mbagala, Temeke District and beyond who had to travel to the city centre to access banking services.

Saidi Jumanne, a CRDB Bank customer who lives at Mtoni Kijichi could not hide his excitement: `This is great, I am very happy now that I won’t have to go to town every weekend just to withdraw money from the bank. CRDB has listened to us. So many people live in this area and this is really good news to them.`

`I was excited when I saw a CRDB Bank ATM at Temeke Hospital , but I kept wondering why don’t these people open a full branch? This will make things easier for us who do business in this area,` said a building materials trader who identified himself only by one name as Sanga.

CRDB Bank operates an offsite ATM at Chang’ombe DUCE, also in Temeke District. The ATM installed at Temeke Hospital will become operational anytime soon.

According to the Bank’s Marketing and Research Director, Tully Mwambapa, the Bank is committed to ensure that it makes life easier for Tanzanians who use or need banking services.

The Bank recently launched depository ATM services to enable its customers deposit money to their accounts `at their convenience` using ATMs.

The response, according to Ms Mwambapa, is far beyond what the Bank had anticipated.
