Man United 0 Pompey 1 (pen)

When Manchester United lost to West Ham I noticed the way the United manager Sir Alex was very much concerned. At that time United was on top of the league table. Then United lost to Man City, Sir Alex was the unhappiest person at Man U's camp.
But a defeat at home against Portsmouth, I think, is the thing that wasn't in the United's manager thoughts at all.

The manager had previously been quoted as saying that the current squad is 'the best' he ever had and I think, again, he expected to win a treble this season to justfy his comments. But it wasn't to be.

To be fair, every Man U's fan is not happy when the team fails to get the results. So as a fan I am still in a shock for going out of the cup on saturday especially in a game which United dominated throughout 90 minutes!

Anyway, that has come and now gone. Man U now can think about the double especially when Arsenal dropped two important points, and this means United can go on top of the table if they win at Derby on saturday afternoon and their game in hand against Bolton next week wednesday.

Following Kuszacz's red card and van der Sar's injury it is now likely that the keeper Ben Foster will remain at OT intead of going on loan till end of the season. The current situation means that only Heaton is the available goal keeper! Unless van der Sar recovers this week, it likely Ben will remain.
