Karume Day

Yesterday people of the United Republic of Tanzania marked 36 years since the death (assassination) of the first Vice President of the Union Government and the first Presindent of the Zanzibar Revolutionary Government, HE Abeid Amani Karume.

He was also the leader of Afro-Shirazi Party (ASP), which later in 1977, joined with the Mainland's ruling Party -Tanganyika African National Union (TANU)- to form Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM).

The Day is marked by remembering his enormous contribution to the Independence of the Zanzibar Isles, the development of citizen's from that part of the country and the formation of the Union (hence the name Tanzania) between Tanganyika na Unguja.

He was assassinated on 07/4/1972 and laid to rest in Zanzibar on 12/7/1972.

The boss on Vida's injury!

"Nemanja's injury is a loss, but we hope to have him back in three weeks. I think we can cope.
We've got Mikael Silvetre and Gary Neville back.
To have those personalities and experienced players back in the squad can only help us.
There's also Gerard Pique, John O'Shea and Wes Brown.
So we're very well covered in that position.
If we can't cope, there's something wrong."

Kina dada!

*Samahani:
Sikutumia neno kina mama.
Sio vibaya kuwapongeza!

Cheers!

A big 'thank you' to Mr Mugendi PZ for his congratory message soon after the final whistle at Roma on Tuesday night.

Also I would like to say the same to Madame Marjorie, who always updates me on Man United developments, including the Rio's England captaincy appointment against France a week ago!

Glory Glory United!!!
